TWO TIME-SENSITIVE THINGS
HEB Gift Card Drive
Ever feel helpless to solve a big problem, but want to do SOMETHING? In preparation for the likely gap in SNAP benefits, we are gathering HEB gift cards to help who we can keep food on the table. We have created a drop down in our giving app labeled “HEB Gift Cards,” and any money you contribute to that fund will be spent on that endeavor. Also, if you are a person who would benefit from grocery assistance, you can email any of the pastoral staff, and we will get you connected with resources.
All Saints Communion Sunday
As this Sunday is the first of the month and also closest to All Saints Day, you are encouraged to bring a photo of a person who, though now dead, reflected the love of God to you and helped formed you into who you are becoming. You can place your photos on the communion table when you arrive on Sunday morning.

Hocus Pocus Movie Night- Wednesday, October 29th, 6pm
Pizza will be provided and we will have Coco on in the family room for littles to watch if Hocus Pocus is too scary.
All Saints Liturgy- Thursday, October 30th, 5:30pm
New ubcKids Classroom Configuration- Sunday, November 2nd
Starting Nov 2nd, classrooms will be:
Babies-2 (used to be nursing room)
2 & 3 year olds (same toddler room)
4-6 year olds (used to be baby room)
2nd-3rd grade (yellow room)
4th-5th grade (rock n roll room)
2nd-5th grade will all be dismissed after the music
Classrooms will not close on the first Sunday of the month, but we will have “all family church” quarterly!
Pedro the Lion House Show Tour (ticketed)- Monday, November 3rd, 8pm
Indie legend David Bazan is stopping by for a show on November 3rd. This is a ticketed event and you can purchase yours here.

UBC survives on the generosity of our congregation. Your financial contributions allow us to continue to create a space that is welcoming to all, embraces beauty, and seeks to live life to the fullest.

CHURCH NEEDS
Prep Parties//Meals Available
After the Congressional Budget Bill passed in July of 2025, we knew that we had to respond with radical hospitality through practical means. The bill cut food assistance funding significantly, and will have lasting impacts on SNAP eligibility and work requirements. With so much food insecurity already in our community, we launched Prep Parties at UBC. Prep Parties are a chance for small groups of people to gather together, cook freezer meals, and stock the freezer in our kitchen. The meals are free to anyone in our congregation or broader community who may need them, whatever the reason. Too much month at the end of the money? Busy weekend protesting and advocating for policy change? Hosting a MiCasa and don't have time to cook? Please grab a meal!
If you are interested in joining our next round of Prep Parties, please email andie@ubcwaco.org. The plan is to restock on a quarterly basis, and we need shoppers, cooks, and hosts.
ubcKids Donation Requests

Tech Volunteers
